绘本通过绚丽多彩的画面吸引幼儿的注意力,并启发幼儿产生模仿绘本语言的行为意识,从而使幼儿获取相应的知识和行为,因此,教师借助绘本这个载体传递幼儿安全行为方面的知识,有助于强化幼儿安全意识,提高幼儿自我保护能力。幼儿一般处于5-7岁之间的年龄阶段,对于事物的认识、辨别危险的能力、遇到险情自救能力等都欠缺经验,以至于频频出现幼儿安全方面的问题:被陌生人拐卖、交通事故、饮食中毒、电伤烧伤等安全问题
