American pre-national literature is mainly Puritan literature.It reflected the Americans’ searching for their own way of expression.The predominant literary forms are prose and poetry,and some representative writers will be talked about in this paper.Literary works in this period show much sign of colonization,but it laid the foundation of the glorious American literature.
