Although the southeast Fujian Province has favorable bio-climatic conditions, traditional farming models are limited in effective exploitation of agriculture related resources and have deteriorated the agricultural environment. After analyzing the conditions at Maping town, we designed a three-dimensional model, special ecological agricultural system (SEAS), at Maping town. The SEAS has been practiced for three years and results show that the SEAS more efficiently utilizes local time and space resources and gains more econo- mic, ecological and social benefits. Thus, the SEAS has been considered as an optimal model for sustainable utilization of agricultural resources.
