Introduction Advanced tumors are usually accompanied by systemic dissemination and bone metastases, causing great suffering for patients, and are also one of the important causes of systemic failure and death. The clinical use of chemotherapy or patch-type irradiation for tumor-limited local metastases has received certain results, but there are few methods for the treatment of pain caused by systemic dissemination, especially extensive bone metastasis. In this case, chemotherapy and other methods of treating tumors often do nothing, and patients only rely on narcotic drugs to relieve pain. Half-body irradiation is a new method for treating disseminated tumor pain in recent years, and is the development of patch-type irradiation and whole body irradiation techniques.
