内蒙古甜菜产区的无霜期较短,可是,目前生产上推广的主要品种却是晚熟类型。这对于根据不同自然区划合理布局品种,调整糖厂的加工期很不利。特别是在提前收获的情况下,不仅块根产量会减少,更为突出的问题是纯度低、糖分下降(试验证明,提前或推后收获20~30天,含糖率相差1.65~2.44度),直接影响糖厂的经济效益。因此,选育早熟的丰产高糖品种是今后育种工作的方向。
The frost-free period in the beet producing area in Inner Mongolia is short, however, the main varieties currently being promoted in production are late-maturing types.
