四川省西充县群众苦战十天,全县基本实现道路车子化。昨日蜿蜒于山岭之间的羊肠小道,今日变成了车马奔驰的宽广坦途。西充县山岭纵横,道路崎岖,以往每年有70％的劳动力用于肩挑背负,今年农业生产和农业基本建设任务大,劳动力更显得紧张。为了解决这个问题,该县在4月下旬开展了一个实现道路车子化的突击运动。县委首先在晋新乡鹤鸣社进试点,摸经验后,区、乡级党组织又分别在四十一个乡做了示范,通过这些示范工程,全县训练出一万四千多名筑路技术员和一万九千多人的工程规划队伍。广大群众对于实现道路车子化无不欢欣鼓舞,纷纷参加这一伟大的工作。造车技术力量不足,于是两千多个农民,主动向木匠学会了木工技术,并掌握了造车的本领。群众一起来,全县迅速办起了三百六十五个
