In the history of modern Chinese politics, “Tomoki Reform” advocated by Kang You-wei, a master of modern Chinese classics, is a striking one-screen historical drama. Its tragic ending is not only related to the specific historical background and political situation, But also profoundly influenced by Kang Youwei’s own cultural background. This paper intends to explain Kang Youwei’s “Tuogu Reform” and his ideological weapon, “Confucian Classics”, and then explain it from the broad historical background and deep cultural meaning: Why is it similar to Kang Youwei’s “ The reform of the ”Tuogu reform" can not succeed in China? Why is the modern study of the ideological weapon gradually transformed from a tool for promoting reform to a mental bondage that binds thinkers? And as a result, it is taught to peers and ancestors.
