政德的核心是官德。官德虽有很多要求,但“廉”作为官员这一特殊职业道德的第一要求,应该成为从政之要。因为一般社会成员是否廉洁,对社会政治生态的影响可以说并不大,但党的各级领导干部是否廉洁,却关系到执政党的生死存亡。官员整体是由一个个具体官员组成的,人民群众对党的形象的认识和执政能力的信服,也往往是从具体官员的廉洁与否着眼判断的。因此,筑牢廉洁从政的防线,必须从每一位领导干部做起。 Morality is the core of official ethics.
