近年来,经济的高速发展带动了艺术领域的发展,艺术已经进入了人们的生活,从私人空间到公共空间,处处都有艺术作品的身影,如油画、水彩画、丙烯画、装饰画、工艺品、摄影、综合材料、计算机绘图、图像处理等。艺术作品作为价值的一种体现,不止是定格于其本身的欣赏价值,也可以作为物质价值的一种载体。但艺术作品的来源相对与其他产品而言渠道相对狭窄,供求之间并不能达到一种协调。如买方的选择性往往会受制于生产者,而生产者人群偏少,或者不能够同时满足批量生产,有一些专业画坊,往往作品又有一定的匠气或价格影响因素等,所以艺术市场已经成为市场经济中一个特殊的部分。而艺术市场中有一部分既具有技术能力又有创作能力的力量往往被忽略,这部分力量便是高校在校艺术生。但是作为在校学生,由往往受制于传统教学模式和管理,传统的艺术教学模式仍然是停留常规教学,与市场之间几乎是脱节的,如何使传统的教学能具有市场结合能力,同时也可以调动学生的绘画积极性,将艺术转换为经济价值,使学生在高校学习期间,既能够学到较高的绘画技巧,同时又能够满市场需求。所以,高校艺术专业教学在大的经济环境中找到一种能够均衡教学与市场相结合的方式就显得非常紧迫和必要。
