郭亮(1901—1928),中共中央候补委员,曾担任湖南省委书记、湖北省委书记、中共湘鄂赣特委书记,工人运动领袖。在他的一生中,他组织了粤汉铁路大罢工,建立了陶业工人支部,在长沙组织声援上海纱厂工人罢工示威游行,参加了南昌起义,后因叛徒告密,被国民党反动派杀害。残忍的敌人割下郭亮的头颅,挂起来示众,企图吓退人民革命。鲁迅得知此事后,愤然挥笔写道:“革命被头挂退的事是很少的。”
Guo Liang (1901-1928), Alternate member of the CPC Central Committee, served as secretary of Hunan Provincial Party Committee, secretary of Hubei Provincial Party Committee, secretary of the CPC Hunan, Hubei, and Jiangxi special committees and leader of the workers’ movement. Throughout his life, he organized a general strike of the Yue-Han Railway and established a branch of the workers of the ceramics industry. He organized a solidarity with the workers of the Shanghai Shachiao factory in the strike demonstrations in Changsha. He participated in the Nanchang Uprising and was later murdered by the reactionaries of the Kuomintang because of reports of traitors. The cruel enemy cut off Guo Liang’s head, hung up to show his public in an attempt to scare people’s revolution. After Lu Xun learned of this incident, he angrily wrote: “There is very little that the revolution was left behind.”
