OBJECTIVE: To characterize the analgesic effect of ACC on pain-inducing mood coding by using multi-channel recording technique to record the pattern of pain response in anterior cingulate loop (ACC) neurons of awake rats. METHODS: Microelectrode arrays were implanted into bilateral adult ACC rats of 5 adult male Sprague-Dawley rats. After the rats were awakened, they were given radiation and thermal stimulation to the caudal and limbs. The discharge signals of neurons were measured by cable and Connector to multi-channel recording system. Results: Nociceptive hyperalgesia induced a predominantly excitatory response in rat ACC, and this reaction lasted for a long time and may be related to the painful mood. The stimulus-related ACC neurons in the vicinity of the neurons were expected to be associated with painful stimulation and may be related to Prepared to avoid the motivation; ipsilateral and contralateral limb stimulation caused by ACC neurons did not differ significantly, indicating that neurons feel wild, not suitable for precise positioning. Conclusion: ACC mainly participates in the emotional motivation of coding pain
