According to the World Health Organization, the number of AIDS patients has increased 45 times over the past 10 years. According to this, there will be 30 million to 40 million people infected with AIDS in the world by the end of this century. Some even predict that AIDS will be the greatest threat to humans in the 21st century. As of July 1995, the number of AIDS patients in the world has totaled 1.17 million with a total number of 18 million. World Health Organization predicts that from the end of this century to the beginning of the 21st century, Asia will become a HIV / AIDS-prone area. In other regions, due to preventive measures, the number of people infected with HIV / AIDS has been declining. On the contrary, in the populous and densely populated Asia, AIDS has entered a period of proliferation.
