我省农村扫盲和业余学习的群众运动,春节后仍在巩固和发展中。最近统计,全省入学达1,280万人,比春节前约增100万。其中扫盲学习808万人,占现有文盲的84％;业余高小437万人,比春节前增加151万,占应入学人数的73％;业余初中39万,业余高中1,830人。春耕开始,群众学习热情仍是这样高涨,运动仍在发展,这充分反映出:在党的领导下,在总路线、大跃进、人民公社三面红旗广泛深入人心和加速实现
The mass movement for literacy and amateur learning in rural areas of our province is still consolidating and developing after the Spring Festival. According to recent statistics, the province’s enrollment reaches 12.8 million, an increase of about 1 million over the previous Spring Festival. Among them, there are 8.08 million literacy learners, accounting for 84% of the existing illiterate people. There are 4.37 million amateur highs and 1.51 million more than before the Spring Festival, accounting for 73% of the total number of enrolled students. There are also 390,000 amateur middle schools and 1,830 amateur high schools. With the beginning of spring cultivation, the enthusiasm of the masses is still so high and the movement is still developing. This fully reflects that under the leadership of the party, the three banners of the Great Leap Forward and the People’s Commune have enjoyed widespread popular support and accelerated realization under the leadership of the party.
