In this paper, we discuss the research topics of percolation pavement of the United States Environmental Protection Organization from the aspects of economy, advantages, application prospects, current situation and further research directions of seepage pavement. Permeable pavement is an effective method to deal with heavy rain. It can be used in parking lots and low-traffic pavements to reduce rains, pollutions and groundwater recharge while also saving on the cost of clearing road edges, drains and small storm water pipes. Permeable pavement is the thin layer of open asphalt mixture spread on the large particle size of the gravel composition. Water may accumulate in the base course of the crushed stone and thus infiltrate the base course or be discharged to both sides of the roadbed. Other types of seepage pavements include concrete grid blocks and a seepage-proof concrete mix.
