由新加坡主办的国际海事与港口安全会议于2003年1月21日至23日在新加坡的香格里拉饭店举行,来自国际海事组织(IMO)、世界海关组织(WCO)等多家国际组织以及美国海关、美国海岸警卫队和三十多个国家的400多位业界人士参加了大会。会议从不同的角度对9·11事件后全球海事和港口安全所面临的新形势和新问题进行了分析,并就各类海上运输安全规则展开了广泛的讨论。
The International Conference on Maritime Safety and Port Security hosted by Singapore was held at the Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore from January 21 to January 23, 2003. Many international organizations, including the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the World Customs Organization (WCO), as well as the U.S. customs, The U.S. Coast Guard and more than 400 industry professionals from over 30 countries attended the conference. The meeting analyzed the new situations and issues facing global maritime and port security after the Sept. 11 attacks from various angles and held extensive discussions on various types of maritime transport safety rules.
