按冶金部部颁标准YB40-64规定,在Hy型疲劳试验机上常用的试棒如图1。试棒安装试验时要求摆差小于±0.03毫米。由于该试样十分细长,表面光洁度及摆差要求很高,在加工制造时就遇到很多困难:车制时易于产生弯曲、热处理后变形很大,磨时不易校正、磨制时由于砂轮压力也可能使试棒中间产生一刻痕,并且由于这种试棒过长在材料方面也常受到限制,无法在零件中切取试样作疲劳试验,也不能用一般U型或K型铸造试块来进行铸钢疲劳强度的研究。
