People say Shangri-La is just a concept, not a place, the same winding Tea Horse Road. The Ancient Tea Horse Road is not only a once-busy trade route and a cobblestone trail that remains today. It allows the world to see the mystery of Tibet and brings the outside world to Tibet. Crossing this most beautiful and refined world, but also the most difficult road, its meaning far more than business. Photographers Mike Yamashita visited the Ancient Tea Horse Road five times successively in Tibet to capture the ancient and modern, sacred and secular, ethereal and reality here. He tried to record the unknown stories before the legendary and mysterious Tea-Horse Road disappeared completely.
