汤亭亭的处女作《女勇士》在美国华裔文学史上具有里程碑意义。该书运用“口述故事”的叙事策略,对中国神话、传说、意象进行解构和重读,凭借其独特的叙述视角和奇特的故事传说震撼了当代美国文坛。本文将从叙述角度出发,指出《女勇士》通过“口述故事”展示了“我”在重压之下,对中西方文化从对抗走向认同的过程,并由此为挣扎在两种不同文化夹缝中的华裔美国人指明了自我实现的道路。
Maxine’s debut actress The Woman Warrior has a landmark in the history of American Chinese literature. The book uses the narrative tactics of “Oral Stories” to deconstruct and reread Chinese myths, legends and images. With its unique narrative perspective and peculiar stories and legends, the book has shaken the contemporary American literary world. This article will narrate from the point of view, pointing out that “Woman Warrior” demonstrates “Oral ” under the pressure of “Woman Warrior” from the confrontation to recognition of the process of Chinese and Western cultures, and thus to struggle in two Chinese-Americans in different cultures pinpoint the path to self-fulfillment.
