《说说唱唱》作为新中国建立之初最重要的通俗文学刊物,既反映了现代文学对城市与乡村关系的重新叙述,也体现了文学写作与传播从意义追求到“思想”姿态追求的深刻变化;其后期作品的公式化倾向则反映出大众审美趣味在新国家意识形态下沉缓变迁的事实。以这一刊物为媒介,可以发现通俗文学变革、新文学主题叙述方式转化、大众审美趣味变迁等方面的深层原因和历史意义。
