杨枢是清末著名的回族外交官,1903—1907年出任清政府驻日公使。在处理1905年留日学生运动中,杨枢站在留学生管理和清政府外交立场上对学潮表现出严肃而强硬的态度。作为开明派官员的杨枢与留学生的对立与冲突,反映了清政府与新式知识分子之间严重缺乏信任及疏离的状态。文章试图从一个侧面考察1905年留日学生运动的面貌。同时指出,近代回族中不乏具有开放心态和世界眼光的人物,杨枢的个案是对此类回族人物研究的尝试。
Yang Shu was the famous Hui diplomat in the late Qing Dynasty and served as minister of Qing government to Japan from 1903 to 1907. In dealing with the 1905 student movement in Japan, Yang Shunshe station students management and the Qing government diplomatic position on the tide showed a serious and tough attitude. Yang Shu, an open-minded official, confronted and confronted foreign students, reflecting a serious lack of trust and alienation between the Qing government and the new-style intellectuals. The article attempts to examine the appearance of the 1905 student movement in Japan from one aspect. At the same time, it is pointed out that there are many characters in the Hui nationality who have an open mind and a world perspective. The case of Yang Shu is an attempt to study such Hui people.
