Objective To investigate the relationship between serum chemerin and high-sensitivity CRP (hs-CRP) levels in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), patients with diabetes mellitus and normal subjects and their correlations with various test parameters . Methods The subjects were divided into three groups: 52 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM), 54 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (DMG) and 52 healthy controls (NC group) (WC), SBP, DBP, BMI, chemerin, hs-CRP, FPG, WBC, triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) were compared between groups, and the serum chemerin, hs-CRP and other indicators The relationship between. Results The levels of BMI, WC, chemerin, hs-CRP, TC, TG, LDL-C and FPG in DMG group and DM group were higher than those in NC group (P < , FPG, TC, LDL-C increased (P <0.05). There was a positive correlation between serum chemerin and hs-CRP (r = 0.694, P <0.01). Serum chemerin, hs-CRP were positively correlated with TG, TC, LDL-C, FPG, BMI, WC, SBP and DBP (P <0.05). Conclusions Chemerin and hs-CRP in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with hypertension are higher than those in type 2 diabetic mellitus. Simultaneous detection of chemerin and hs-CRP and their joint analysis are of great value in the prevention and treatment of obesity, type 2 diabetes mellitus and high Blood pressure provides a new direction of treatment.
