《柳堡的故事》是“十七年”电影女性意识觉醒的标志。这部影片当时就给观众耳目一新的深刻印象,主要是因为王苹这位女性导演身上有着“双性同体”的艺术思维,影片对于战争和爱情的叙事有着“双性同体”的独特意蕴。王苹在这部影片中坚持女性视角,用女性的生命体验来表现战争,使得影片能把战争和人更加完整、更加丰富地呈现出来。文艺创作需要这种“双性同体”艺术思维。尤其是对于长期以来男性话语占据中心的中国电影及文学来说,“双性同体”叙事更具有重要的启示意义。
