Chinese poetry is hailed as the crystallization of Chinese national culture, and it is also the result of the precipitation of the times and history. Chinese poetry pays attention to subtlety and pursues the effect that words have already been made. Therefore, it is one of the characteristics of Chinese poetry that language is highly blurred. Its language ambiguity is mainly reflected in vocabulary and cultural connotation. This paper leads to three inevitable causes of the fuzziness of poetic language: 1. The unique fuzzy thinking of human beings; 2. The aesthetic requirements for poetry; 3. The metaphorical expression conveyed by poetic images, and explores the fuzzy implications of poetic language. And by analyzing the translation of poetry, it discusses how to maintain the vague beauty of language in English translation of poetry.
