立方氮化硼(CBN)是1957年由美国GE公司首先开发成功的,CBN耐热性高,不易与铁产生化学反应,硬度仅次于金刚石。1977年该公司又开发了用于切削加工的CBN烧结体刀具。CBN刀具切削锰钢时,其寿命比硬质合金高得多,切削模具钢时,其寿命与聚晶金刚石相当,但因价格较硬质合金、陶瓷高50~80倍,加之未充分掌握此种刀具的切削特性与使用技术,时至今日仍未充分推广应用。本文结合被加工材料,分析CBN刀具在使用中存在的一些问题。
Cubic boron nitride (CBN) was first developed by GE in 1957 in the United States. CBN has high heat resistance and is not easy to react with iron. Its hardness is second only to that of diamond.
