伍光建(1866-1943),广东新会人。十九世纪八十年代毕业于北洋水师学堂,总教习严复颇加器重,派往英国格林威治海军学院深造五年,兼学西方史学和文学。清朝末年,夏曾佑和伍光建分别写出《中国 Wu Guangjian (1866-1943), Guangdong Xinhui people. Graduated from the Nanyang Naval Academy in the 1880s, Yan Fu, the general manager of the department, was assigned to study for five years at the Naval Academy of Greenwich in the UK and also studied western history and literature. In the late Qing Dynasty, Xia Zengyou and Wu Guangjian wrote "China
