本规范是根据1975年出版的《公路桥涵设计规范》(以下简称《公桥规》)第三章——砖石及混凝土结构进行修订而成,是这次规范修订工作的重点之一。修改和增添的内容较多,修改前建立了研究课题,本规范的一些重点内容就是在专题课题的基础上写出来的。原《公桥规》砖石及混凝土结构系采用容许应力设计法,本规范改用多系数的极限状态设计法,从设计原理到具体计算公式及参数都发生很大变化,现将主要修订情况说明如下:
