传统中国画发展到中唐时期,色彩开始在与水墨之变的斗争中游离出中国画的创作主流,历史传承的断裂使得色彩的传统显露出不足与薄弱。一直到现代彩墨画的出现,才让色彩传统萌生出复苏的迹象。本文即以色彩传统的流失为叙述的出发点,通过彩墨画发展流变的简要梳理,来看彩墨画运动其实是一场对于中国文化的回归,以及由此基础之上促成中国画由传统型向现代型的转化,从而确定其现代的属性。
