With the continuous deepening of supply-side structural reforms and the “Made in China 2025” proposal, the status quo that shortcomings of highly qualified professionals and professionals need to be filled up has become one of the most serious problems facing China’s labor market. The serious imbalance in the supply and demand of such talents reflects the deviation between the demand for higher vocational education and social development. In contrast, France, a big country of education with China, has obvious advantages in higher vocational education. In fact, there have been similar problems in the vocational education in France. However, it has gradually become mature, perfect and distinctive with a series of reforms. A comparative analysis of the gap between China and France in higher vocational education and drawing on the successful experience of France will help our country to deepen the reform and innovation of higher vocational education and take employment as a guide to train the application-oriented professionals who really need in the Chinese market.
