本试验通过比较电子束与~(60)Co-γ射线对染色体的诱变效应表明,电子束和γ射线一样,对染色体有明显的诱变作用。在一定的剂量范围内,电子束的剂量与染色体畸变率之间有明显的剂量效应关系,两者接近于直线和平方函数的关系。从电子束所诱发的染色体畸变类型来分析,则电子束所诱发的染色体桥和环较γ射线的频率要高,故认为电子束对诱发二击畸变,提高染色体的互换频率较γ射线的强,这在诱发染色体变异的实践应用上是很值得重视的。
