The most popular definition of media convergence refers to the process of the beginning of integration of independent telecommunications, information technology and media. However, this process does not happen at the same level, but at different levels, such as the infrastructure level, the user terminal device level, or the service level. It is for this reason that media convergence is often understood as a qualitative change process in which two or more isolated information markets are interpenetrated and integrated with each other. In general, the driving force of convergence comes from the integration of one or more technologies to promote infrastructure, user terminal equipment or add new service functions or to change the characteristics of a product as a result of new technological innovations.
