Based on the field survey data and the ologit econometric model, this paper focuses on the influence of different income categories (absolute income, relative income) and different strata on the subjective well-being of rural residents. The results show that the present rural residents have a strong sense of subjective well-being, and more than 80% of respondents are happy or happier with the current living conditions. Although the marginal effect of absolute income on subjective well-being increases with the relative income level However, the absolute income is still the decisive factor affecting the subjective well-being of rural residents. The subjective well-being of farmers at different social strata (occupational category) and the marginal impact of relative income on the subjective well-being of different strata of rural households vary. Compared with the transfer-payment farmers, the subjective well-being of self-employed workers, farmer-workers and migrant workers is relatively strong. Meanwhile, the relative income has the highest marginal effect on migrant workers, followed by that of self-employed farmers and farmer farmers .
