据有关资料报导,印度为了加快工业的发展速度,正在积极引进外资加快提高硬质合金的生产水平,不断扩大硬质合金产量。目前,印度有16家硬质合金生产厂,可生产各种硬质合金产品,如焊接刀片、耐磨零件等。瑞典Sandvik公司、德国Krupp Widia公司都在印度建了分厂和销售点。Widia厂在印度的硬质合金产量就达460吨,其中包括焊接刀片3500万片,各种棒材30万件。现在印度硬质合金产量已超过700吨,预计到1995年增长12.8％,达到800吨,到2000年达到1000吨水平。
