This paper explores the structural features of subsets of seismic activity time series separated by large earthquake intervals. The analysis of the current seismic time distribution in Xianshuihe fault zone shows that there is still a strong correlation scale-free zone in the time series of small-medium earthquakes before a large earthquake within a certain range. The subsets of small and medium earthquakes belonging to the same earthquake time series have little difference in Kolmogorov capacity dimension D_0 and information dimension D_1, but have no difference in scale-free zone. A preliminary study of the present earthquake distribution in the Xianshuihe fault zone shows that there is a wider scale-free scale in the time sequence of the small-medium-sized earthquakes in the early fault of the same fault zone. The wider the scale-free zone, the higher the degree of self-organization, The magnitude of the adjacent strong earthquakes is greater; however, the relatively narrow scale-free zone (or absence of scale-free zone) may be a sign of no major earthquake in the near future. The D_0 and D_1 values are two important indexes for the complicated fractal structure of seismic distribution in time series. Their corresponding scale-free zones reflect their self-organization characteristics from different sides, and they have the theory of the present seismic activity and earthquake prediction in the fault zone Value and practical significance.
