The reform of English teaching has become a hot topic recently.This article is going to discuss the role of one of the affective factors-teacher-student relationship in English teaching.Two questionnaires are designed in order to find out the current relationship between English teachers and students in college English classes and the imperfect relationship is revealed by the analysis.Then several suggestions about how to establish the new equal and harmonious teacher-student relationship are presented.
