Many readers would like to know some of the theories and materials on modern art in the Soviet Union. The five selected texts here deal with the avant-garde art of the Soviet Union, including the early avant-garde art movement and some of the contemporary Soviet art phenomena and perspectives for readers to understand the Soviet art A clue The art of Soviet modernism is closely linked with the art of European modernism. However, it is more restricted by the social conditions of Russia and the Russian cultural tradition before and after the October Revolution. Some good works reflect the typical Russian humor and irony features. With the changes that have taken place in all spheres of Soviet society, this aspect of Soviet modern art is increasingly drawing the attention and research of the Soviet Union both at home and abroad. Exhibitions have been held in Moscow, Leningrad, Paris, London and Amsterdam since 1988, with the cooperation of the Soviet Ministry of Culture and Sotheby’s in London, the first Russian avant-garde and the Soviet contemporary art in the West Works auction. Like all modernist art, Soviet avant-garde art is full of theoretical contradictions and distress in its constant exploration and evolution. Eleonid Bazarov, elected here, Question 15, hope to help readers understand this issue.
