Suspension polymerization process is the main production process of PVC, PVC production in the world, about 90% of the suspension polymerization process, as many varieties, the amount of large other processes can not be compared. Suspension polymerization process is widely used in the manufacture of general-purpose resins, there are special purpose special resins, such as spherical resin, blended resin. Polymerization degree In addition to the general degree of polymerization of the resin, there are ultra-high, ultra-low degree of polymerization of the resin, such as the polymerization to a high of about 9000, with rubber properties, low only about 400 to 500; both loose resin, but also Tight resin. Polyvinyl chloride suspension technology by the United States Goodrich company first developed in 1940. After several decades of development, have developed a distinctive polymerization process. Adopted more of the United States Geon company’s technology, the European company EVC technology and Japan’s Shin-Etsu process and so on. Although the suspension production of PVC after many technological changes, the basic process is still raw materials from the preparation, polymerization, monomer recovery, stripping, drying and packaging processes and other components. Polymerization process is still intermittent, continuous polymerization process is still in the pilot phase.
