INTRODUCTION Mixed surfactant solutions often have greater surface activity than either surfactant alone. The synergistic effect between the anionic and cationic surfactant mixed solutions is greatest. This synergistic effect is very important for various treatments of the phase interface. The mechanism of foam fractionation is closely related to the adsorption of surface active solute at the gas-solute interface, and if the synergistic effect occurs, the separation efficiency will be improved.
