为改善三倍体毛白杨木材的性质 ,实验中先后用水玻璃和硫酸铝溶液处理毛白杨木材 .浸入木材的硅酸根离子与铝离子结合 ,在木材微纤丝间隙和管胞 (或纤维 )的胞腔中生成硫酸铝沉淀 ,从而使木材中填充大量的无机物 ,得到毛白杨无机复合木材 .无机复合木材的抗收缩系数可达 5 1.2 6 ,其阻燃性和硬度也有较大改善 .
