齿轮倒角刀的结构形式如图所示,是在一圆柱体上加工出四个半径为R的圆弧面Ⅰ,这四个面截交形成的棱边Ⅱ,即为刀具的切削刃。由图可知,加工四个弧面的砂轮外缘的运动轨迹,在空间组成四个相互截交的,直径为2R的圆柱休,其截交面为一椭圆。椭圆的短轴b=CD=2R,长轴α=AB=22~(1/2)R。长轴A点附近的一段圆弧为倒角刀切削刃的圆弧。椭圆上各点的曲率半径不同,但在长(短)轴附近的一段,其曲率半径变化较小,可用一半径为r的圆弧
