不久前,笔者赴新疆采访了一位上海人——一位具有传奇色彩的女科学家穆舜英。穆舜英1960年从北大历史系毕业后,作为品学兼优的高材生,不留北京不回上海,却坚决要求去了新疆。她一生在新疆考古,与古墓、干尸、木简、残砖断瓦、古城废墟打了四五十年交道。她的足迹遍布天山南北,参加或主持组织了吐鲁番地区众多古城遗址和著名的阿斯塔那晋唐古墓、塔克拉玛干沙漠南缘若羌、米兰地区唐吐番古戍堡等重点大型考古以及其他众多考古调查研究工作,贡献卓著。尤其1980年,她作为唯一女性队员主持和亲率我国首次对罗布泊、楼兰古城和古丝绸之路的大团队探险考察,使她成为国内国际考古探险界瞩目的女科学家。笔者通过新疆科学界的朋友,与穆舜英联系上,她在那间宽敞而因摆满了书架、资料、文物而又显得十分拥塞的考古所办
Not long ago, I went to Xinjiang to interview a Shanghai native, a legendary female scientist, Mu Shunying. After graduating from the Department of History in Peking University in 1960, Mu Shunying, as a top student with good academic achievements and decency, left Beijing without returning to Shanghai and insisted on going to Xinjiang. Her life in archeology in Xinjiang, and the tomb, mummy, wood Jane, residual brick broken tiles, the ancient city of rubble hit four or five years of dealing. Her footprints all over the Tianshan Mountains North and South, participated in or presided over the organization of many ancient ruins of the Turpan region and the famous Astana Jin and Tang tombs, the southern edge of the Taklamakan Desert Ruoqiang, Milan area Tangfubushu Fortress and other key large archeology and other Many archaeological investigations and studies, outstanding contribution. Especially in 1980, as the only female team member, she presided over and led the first exploration of the large team in Lop Nur, the ancient Loulan city and the ancient Silk Road, making her the female scientist in the domestic international archeology adventure. Through the friends of the scientific community in Xinjiang, I contacted Mu Shunying, who was spacious at that archeology because of its shelves, materials and cultural relics.
