Posterior cerebral artery aneurysms are rare, accounting for 0.7-2.2% of intracranial aneurysms. Due to the deep location of the posterior cerebral artery (PCA) and the complex relationship with the brainstem and surrounding structures, surgical treatment of aneurysms in this region is difficult. How to choose the best surgical approach requires understanding of the detailed anatomy of the area, but also need to segment the aneurysm in different locations to determine the relationship between the approach and the site. Margolis first proposed PCA segmentation, in accordance with PCA walk in the basal cistern position is simply divided into the brain segment, the Central pool segment and the four-segment.
