初刻于明万历戊申年(1608年)的《元亨疗马集》,是中国古代兽医学的一部不朽巨著,是世界自然科学宝库中的一份珍贵学术文化遗产。然而,由于种种原因,《元亨疗马集》的明刻本今天已经难得一见。存世《元亨疗马集》的各种版本《元亨疗马集》的作者系明代庐州府六安州兽医(今安徽六安)喻仁、喻杰兄弟。喻仁,字本元,别号曲川;喻杰,字本亨,别号月川。该书原名《疗马集》,由丁宾作《元亨疗马集 Yuanheng Therapy Horseset, first engraved in the Ming Wanli Eishinian (1608), is an immortalized masterpiece in ancient Chinese veterinary medicine and a precious academic and cultural heritage of the world’s treasure trove of natural sciences.
