以“公义”为核心的慈善活动是犹太教道德生活的一个重要内容。在犹太教教义中,行善是上帝的诫命,是犹太人特别是犹太富人应当履行的义务。在这一原则的指导下,犹太人自圣经时代就发展出“十一税”等许多救困扶贫的慈善活动,到拉比犹太教和中世纪时期,犹太人又逐渐发展出众多慈善组织和机制,犹太人的慈善传统日益走向成熟。犹太慈善传统有着不同于其他民族文化的独到之处,这不仅对于犹太人有着重要的意义,对我国社会主义和谐社会建设也有积极借鉴之处。
Charity with “justice” as its core is an important part of Judaism’s moral life. In Judaism, doing good is the commandment of God and the obligation that Jews, especially the Jewish rich, should fulfill. Under the guidance of this principle, Jews developed many charity activities to save poverty and alleviate poverty since the biblical era. By the time of Rabbi Judaism and the Middle Ages, Jews gradually developed numerous charities and mechanisms, The Jewish philanthropic tradition is maturing. The Jewish philanthropic tradition has its uniqueness from other national cultures. This not only has an important meaning to the Jews but also provides a positive reference for the construction of a harmonious socialist society in our country.
