China’s loss of property during the war of resistance against Japan is a topic of research involving a wide range of issues and the difficulty of conducting surveys and statistics. It is also a subject that is extremely controversial because different surveys and statistical methods will produce rather disproportionate results. Precisely because of this, in the 60 years since the war, there have been many claims on the total amount of property losses in China’s war of resistance against Japan. This article analyzes some scholars’ estimations during the war and various post-war arguments on the loss of property in the War of Resistance Against Japan. In particular, it makes a preliminary study of various materials that were officially organized by the National Government after the war to investigate the loss of property in China’s war of resistance against Japan Collate and study the ins and outs of its data and the relationship between the front and back, in order to provide a reference for further research.
