This article explores Marx’s historical inevitability and historical selectivity of striding over the Cafudinian gorge of capitalism. Marx believes that the special historical conditions of Russian society determine that it can not make a direct transition to communism through the capitalist Caffing Canyon. This is a historic necessity. However, this necessity does not mean that there is only one road available for historical development. Due to the diversity of the development of things and the difference of the values of the subject, there are always possibilities in the course of history. The main motivation is an important factor affecting the direction of historical development. This view of Marx has an important methodological enlightenment for us to study history and reasonably explain the complex social and historical phenomena in the world today.
