翻译是从理解到表达的过程,两者都涉及译者的先知识,而先知识是以图式的形式存储在人的记忆中,因此翻译的过程就是图式加工过程。本文将图式加工理论运用到河海大学科技英语翻译课程的教学实践,考查图式加工理论在科技英语翻译课堂上的作用。本文通过对比、统计等方法,指出运用图式加工理论,有助于强化学生的文化背景知识输入,促进形成自上而下的理解模式,提高学生的翻译理解和表达能力。
Translation is a process from understanding to expressing. Both involve the translator’s prior knowledge, and the first knowledge is stored in human memory in the form of schema. Therefore, the process of translating is schema processing. This paper applies schema processing theory to the teaching practice of science and technology English translation course in Hohai University and examines the function of schema processing theory in science and technology English translation class. By means of comparison and statistics, this paper points out that the use of schema processing theory helps to strengthen students ’cultural background knowledge input, promotes the formation of a top-down understanding model and enhances students’ ability to understand and express themselves.
