Since ancient times, bamboo as an important natural resource has been widely used in people’s daily life. With the continuous improvement of bamboo processing technology, bamboo as the raw material of new products after another. The industrialization of bamboo makes the bamboo no longer be “the poor wood”, and the bamboo fine has claimed to be luxurious; and the chemical utilization of bamboo will be an effective way to explore high value-added bamboo products. In the basic theoretical research, the study of bamboo biodiversity has become a new hot spot. The ecological function of bamboo forest and its importance in sustainable development have drawn more and more attention from the international community. In Latin America and Africa, as well as in Europe and North America, where there are no natural bamboo distributions, there is an increasing emphasis on the research and development and utilization of bamboo. Modern biological techniques provide a more effective means of revealing the phylogeny and development of bamboo plants at the molecular level
