There is no historical evidence of aconnection between Chinese andAfrican art, but today, artists from thetwo sides are making efforts to buildjust such a connection. On June 18,an art exhibition entitled ApproachingAfrica was held at Shenzhen University'sart museum. The exhibition includedmore than 60 works by nine artistsfrom Shenzhen's art institutes. Theworks were created by the artists duringa tour of African countries includingBenin, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia andZimbabwe.
