Facing a difficult market, Nokia, the maker of mobile phone handsets, is ready to further explore the market. Early in 2001 was an optimistic start to the world telecommunications industry: output signs of the first few months of the year showed signs of rising profits by as much as 20% or more. However, the mobile phone market is approaching the saturation point, whether it is Motorola, Siemens, or Nokia, have suffered heavy losses. In fact, the growth of mobile phones has suddenly stalled, as if the train driving at high speed broke into the buffer zone. Another problem is that the demand for base stations is much slower, like the resin that slowly seeps out of the trunk. From Motorola to Toshiba, from Ericsson to Siemens, all major mobile phone manufacturers are suffering losses. However, one of them is an exception to this rule: in Helsinki, the capital of Finland, the northernmost part of Europe, a company stands proud in the counter-current of the mobile phone market, making its competitors shudder. This is Nokia.
