西方人了解或认识中国哲学当然主要是靠翻译文本。《老子》作为中国哲学的经典之一 ,历史上有过多种译本。本文从哲学概念的术语化及风格两个方面简要地、对比性地对《老子》的三个英译本进行了评论 ,认为新译本有可能在吸收旧译本的基础上而优越于旧译本 Westerners know or understand Chinese philosophy, of course, mainly by the translation of text. This essay reviews three English versions of Lao Tzu briefly and comparatively from the aspects of terminology and style of philosophical concepts.
